Select Your Currency in the Amazon Currency Converter

When you purchase eligible items from using an eligible American Express, MasterCard, or Visa credit or debit card denominated in currencies supported by the Amazon Currency Converter, you may be able to pay in your local currency.

To switch between your local currency and the default website currency:

  1. Select the items you'd like to purchase and proceed to checkout.
  2. On the final checkout page, before paying for your order, choose the payment currency you'd like to use for your order.

Once you select the currency of your card, the Amazon Currency Converter automatically displays your payment total in your local currency on the order summary page, or the product detail page for 1-Click ordering, so you know how much you're paying before you pay.

  • The Amazon Currency Converter uses information, such as the country or region your card was issued in, to determine your local currency.
  • If the wrong currency type is identified, choose your preferred currency as your selected payment currency during checkout.
  • You can also change the currency of your card on the payment selection page by selecting My card is a different currency, and selecting the currency type.
  • We store the currency you selected for your card for future eligible purchases.
  • See Amazon Currency Converter Requirements for more information.
